James Berry
My name is James Beery. I grew up on a small dairy farm in Rockingham County. Upon graduating from high school, I went straight to work in the construction industry, where I’ve been for the last 28 years. With the assistance of my parents, I bought my farm in 2001. I now run a cow calf operation, two broiler chicken houses, and some row crops. In 2015, I was fortunate to become a small owner of the two companies that I have worked for: Countyline Construction and Countyline Materials. The construction company is an agriculture construction company; the materials company supplies building materials for local contractors.
"I’m excited to be a member of Class VII of VALOR to broaden my knowledge of the diverse agriculture industry and meet agriculture leaders from across the Commonwealth. Additionally, I am looking forward to developing and strengthening my leadership skills."
