Michael Smetak

Originally from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Mike now calls the Shenandoah Valley home. His professional career originally started in the pharmaceutical industry, but upon completion of graduate school he decided to make a career change. He’s been working in the agricultural industry for the past 6 years and is currently the General Manager at Shenandoah Growers. He’s been happily married to his wife Lindsay for the past 6 years & they have a beautiful daughter Harper, who will turn 2 this October. In his spare time he likes to ski, golf, play softball & root for his hometown sports teams and also enjoys traveling internationally. He’s excited to be a member of the third VALOR class because of the professional exposure and the opportunity to learn/understand more about Virginia’s diverse growing regions.
