Paul Boulden, Jr.

Paul Boulden Jr is a 1st generation farmer in Hanover, Virginia.  Paul has a passion for quality, local, farm-fresh foods and is an owner/ operator of Studley Farms of VA, LLC.  Studley Farms is a small family farm specializing in grassfed beef, heritage breed hogs, pasture-raised sheep and goats.  Paul was in the inaugural class through Virginia State University's program for the Mobile Processing Unit for Small Ruminants (sheep and goats).  Paul oversaw Studley Farms being awarded a USDA Grant of Inspection for using the Mobile Processing Unit, the first farm in the state to achieve and operate under this arrangement.  Studley Farms has grown in the past year to also receive a Retail Food Permit through VDACS, allowing for Studley Farms to cut & pack its own meat and sausage for sale, direct to the consumer.

Paul is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute (VMI), majoring in Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in Mathematics.  Through his professional career working as an engineer, he has been introduced to a range of culinary experiences throughout the United States and around the world. These are now experiences he plans to share with others within our community.
