Shasta Sowers

Shasta grew up on her father and uncle’s farm, Huckleberry Dairy and Beef in Floyd, Virginia.  After graduating from Virginia Tech with her B.S. in Agricultural Sciences and M.S. in Career and Technical Education, she returned to Floyd where she taught agriculture.  In 2017, Shasta began working for Wytheville Community College as a High School Career Coach.  She now serves three high schools and is sponsor for WCC Collegiate Young Farmers.
